Bought it for my sportster, got by with it for my street glide, had the limited on it last night and it's a little much. Ordered a J&S before something bad happens. Hope it's as good as everybody says.
I have a yellow craftsman, doesn't get used much. Used it the other day to stand the bike straight up while I worked on the tourpak, airwing rack and additional run brake light.
I have the Harbor Freight one, use it on my Street Glide with never a problem. A bit wobbly, yes, does the job...absolutely...it's not going anywhere when the bikes on the jack...
You won't regret the J&S. I know there is a million opinions about everything on this forum but I'm confident in saying this is one of the few accessories that is what everyone says it is. Once you use one you'll see how great of a jack it is especially compared to a Sears or Harbor Freight jack. I can't believe I ever trusted a Sears jack to hold up such an expensive toy. The maintenance work you can do yourself will pay for the jack over time.
I rarely use my sears jack but when i do i never have a concern. Ive used it on sg and rg, never a limited, are that much heavier? I dont move it once a bike is on ther either, i plan to get a lift soon,
I never wasted my money on a Sears or HF jack I wanted something that would work the 1st time & not have to wonder if they'll hold up J&S jacks aren't cheap but either is what I put on it. One of my best items I ever bought was my J&S. Like alot of people say "Rock Solid"
