I use Amsoil in my 8 company trucks, my RKC, my VTX1800, my wife's 750 Honda classic, my Corvette, my Tahoe, my wife's Honda Accord. I change the oil in the Harley at 5000 miles but everything else gets changed at 15,000 miles.

I think that a lot of people in this forum are a little to attached to their oil. What I posted is my opinion not right or wrong just an opinion of what happened but in my opinon Amsoil sucks! and I will take every oportunity to tell all that I know so. So there!
Again, it is NOT the oil. I don;t care what oil you had in there, I would say the same if you said it was HD Syn3. If you do tell people that AMSOIL sucks, you'd better leave out the part that you told all of us, becuase you're liable to get wierd looks and maybe even some chuckles
Hello Spike. Yes, from the VTX forum. Still have my custom VTX but it is for sale though I'm not in any hurry as I still like to watch the heads turn when I ride it. Certainly good to see you on the Harley forum. I know you will be a welcome addition. Don't know if I ever put this bike on the VTX forum. $26,000 invested. I'll take $13,000 if you know anyone. Here are some after, before, and after agin pics. http://www.bestexterminating.com/bike/

Duh.......the "vibration" went away with the amsoil in there. Thanks for posting!
Not quite sure what you mean by vibration. Is it engine vibration or is it vibrating when riding?? As far as engine vibration, I get that when I start the motor when its cold and goes away when warmed up. Its because the oil is thick and needs to warm up.
Just my thoughts!
Yeah, I just sold my custom VTX, helped load her into a trailor last Wednesday, sad day. Wife told me to keep it, but I just couldn't justify having 2 bikes when I can only ride one. Plus, we just had our first kid in December, so if I wanted a touring bike with hard bags, trunk and fairing, the X had to go.
Good to see some familiar faces(screen names anyway) here, makes me feel more at home
