[sm=popcorn.gif] I'm waiting on the "RE-POST" about how everyone is so insensitive, and somebody's feelings got hurt...

You better ask your wife if she got the same number of coats of fingernail polish on each finger and thumb. Missing just one nail with a second coat could definetely lead to an out of balance problem.

Used Amsoil. Wheels fell the f--k off. Never use that stuff again. Never had that problem with HD oil.
Your friendly HD dealer.

I think that the winter air in your tires has caused a slight disruption in the visocity of the Aimsoil in the crank case. The fix is to drive your cager 200 miles due south (or until you hit the ocean) and buy some compressed air that is freshly canistered and drive back up and put it in your tires....That should balance out the angle of the dangle, the square of the air and the mass of the ***.

don't forget to change the oil in the tires. I heard the new models are oil filled not air filled. so if it's low then the engine runs and the low tire oil shakes and it's a rough go.

To answer the original post, it could just be putting the 20-50 motor oil in the tranny that let him hear more noise. Harley pushed the syn3 in all 3 holes, but now have recanted and say not in the tranny. Put a good gear oil, 75/90 or 80-90 or use the formula + which is a straght 50 weight in the tranny and you will be fine.

That's is exactly what I did is formula + in tranny and primary and I think that would have been good but while I was at it decided to do engines as well.I have always used HD oil without any issues. The first time I try something diiferent have problems and that is another reason that I went back to HD oil.

I use Amsoil in my 8 company trucks, my RKC, my VTX1800, my wife's 750 Honda classic, my Corvette, my Tahoe, my wife's Honda Accord. I change the oil in the Harley at 5000 miles but everything else gets changed at 15,000 miles.
