These threads are hilarious and are on every board I have been on. Just a change of oil, no matter what was used or what it was switched to, will NOT change the engine harmonics or balance in any way shape or form.
This is like the leak with synthetic oil myth.
If it makes you sleep better using an over priced, cheap bid contract oil in your bike go for it.
I have a new revolutionary oil designed specially for HD vibrators!!! It is manufactured with 100% perfectly matched molecules all individually balanced for Canadian Harleys. did you keep the bike in a heated garage????..........maybe it was just shivering for a bit on its first trip outside and it took a minute for it to get rid of the chills???....maybe it was a little weather sensitive!
I put Amsoil in my lawn mower and now it mows the grass all by itself. I just sit in the house and... Wow! I just looked out the window and it alreadyfinished my lawn and nowit's mowing the good-looking neighbor lady's lawn.
When we purchased my wifes sportster, the bike sat on the showroom floor for six months and it took about 200 miles for the engine to smooth out, I believe it was old gas. By the way she said the first 200 miles were the best riding
See you admit it. You left your bikes up on lifts all winter long. This caused the rubber in your tires to sag so they just went bump, bump, bumpin the night as you rode down the road.
I knew I could solve it if I read enough. Which was hard to do without fallin asleep...[:'(]
Guys we are using the wrong terms. Its not unbalanced oil, its counter-balanced oil. I bet he accidently used Amsoil spec'ed for TC88Bs and not the oil for our A engines. Thats it, there are 2 Amsoil oils, one for our As and the other for the counter-balanced Bs. We need to cross post this into the Softtail forum and see what those guys think. Maybe one of them has accidently used the Amsoil TC88A oil and had the same results.
