In one test case, we took three different applications on the top of the RH wing. After 12 months, you could not tell, feel or see any difference in any of the protected versus unprotected areas.
Instead, the best protection for paint and to keep it looking the best: keep it clean; keep it waxed; keep it out of the sun as much as possible. And, if there is any damage to the paint, touch it up. A few other pointers. Never rag on the bike to remove dust unless it has been washed of all grit, grim or dust. Only use cotton or cotton type products to wipe the bike. Always use clean towels. Micro-fiber cloths work well. Wax it once or twice a year with a good carnuba wax.
