Default High Heat on 2008 FLHT - PCV - solved?

I bought my 2008 FLHT in March. It had FuelMoto Jackpot slipons, SE AC, and Stage 1 download. I immediately added a Power Commander V and a map from FuelMoto. Between then and now I played with adjusting maps some. Now that the weather has become hot, rides were unpleasant from the high heat. Today I found that my throttle calibration was out of whack. Any throttle above zero and the PCV thought the throttle was at 100 percent. In effect using the wrong mapping profile. I recalibrated by setting the max throttle to 4.3 volts (mVolts?). I came across a post from Jamie at FM recommending this value for throttle by wire bikes. My initial ride today in 90+ degree seemed to be much cooler.

hmmm.

I'd check that your pcv connections are clean and tight.

AFAIK the ECM looks for 5 volts reference which means that your WOT could be 90% of my WOT without a PCV

So are you saying I should I should set my WOT setting to 5 volts?

I'm dealing with the HD system which uses 5 volts for sensor reference.

If you are advised to use another value to make your power commander work- then I suppose you take that advice.

the PC being a piggyback, doubles the number of electrical connections for the sensors.
each of which uses low voltages and very slight changes in resistance to signal "input" to the ECM.
so any gunk build up on the connections can skew the readings taken by the computer.

I'd unplug, clean and replug the PC first.

btw to reset the throttle position sensor for the HD ECM, with kill switch at "run", with RIGHT hand turn on igntion switch- let fuel pump prime and stop.
with right hand, turn off ignition switch
repeat this process times 4
