Yep had it done while I was getting tires.

Glad it got done. I have found several people who ignored or forgot about the recall and then had problems with lights, cruise and other odd things. Keep us posted on what they find and thanks for posting about this.

Really a head scratcher- I think that Shooter is correct in suspecting the ABS or the ABS diode pack
( which combines the front and rear rear brake switches to the brake light relay)

as he has tested with disconnecting the rear brake switch, I think that is ruled out.
I don't see any logical way that the rear brake light switch failure could cause the problem he has anyway.

I've been going through the wiring diagram looking for clues.

One question Shooter, does this happen when the bike is stopped and the rearbrake applied?

I'll watch this thread with interest.

Tire and switch both replaced at the time of the recall on the switch

Bike has to be moving fast enough for the ABS to be active. That's the main reason I think it's associated with the rear ABS circuit.

I did pull the ABS fuse, and it still does it. I was tempted to disconnect the rear ABS sensor.............. but.........It's going to the dealer on Tuesday, so it's their problem now.
