Default Front suspension air valve removal?

Can this be done? Can I eliminate the air fittings and Schrader valves, and run progressive springs?

Anyone else here done this? Any special parts required?

Progressive spring cartridges you can, if you buy just the spring kit, it would have no caps to use instead of air caps.

Is that a better way to go, than the stock setup?

Just plug the caps and install the springs.

But, do I need to buy cartridge style springs?

TBO, if you just plug the caps, your suspension will be soft. There's probably only two possible ways with the standard setup.
1/ install another spring set but you may require air as well.
2/ Add a Cartridge setup.
Another way may be to add thicker oil to get better damping but air is required again.

Progressive makes longer springs for those that remove the air assist. Cap the holes, install the springs and add fresh fork oil and you're golden.
You will like the difference in ride quality.
