OK everyone, I really hate to keep resurrecting this thread, but I need to post the real solution to my original problem.
My 2003 Road King Classic was cutting out or missing when at partial throttle. I had both injectors replaced by a great dealer and it rand fine... For about one day. Then the same problem came back.
The problem is to the injector, it is the wiring going to the injector. Reaching in and moving the wires around for my front injector makes the bike run great. Right now, I have a branch from a tree stuck across the top of the engine keeping the wire in a position that allows the injector to work.
When I get home, I will pull the tank and repair the wiring properly. As for now, if you see an '03 Road King Classic at a watering hole in North Dakota or Minnesota with a branch sticking out of the heads, please don't remove it.
Damn, that's one thing I didn't think of adding to my fix it kit, along with a roll of duct tape and a bfh.
After looking at this thread the other day I checked mine out because of a occasional miss fire, and saw that both hoses attached to the back of the air filter were cracked, hopefully that's my problem.
My 02 Ultra had a similar problem back in 2006.
The Mothership had a goodwill fix back then(I missed out) and it was a fuel injector wire that was to short and would cause the bike to stutter or stall when things got warm.
So, you did the wiggle test and found out you could recreate the symptom...
BTW, that is the ''Official'' term from Mothership ''wiggle test'' and there is a fix for it.
Then again ,maybe you have a coil that is going bad as my troubles did not include a check engine light ....

Riding from Eastern Minnesota to Glacier Natl Park. We are in the middle of North Dakota and my 2003 Road King Classic with 71,000 miles starts missing like crazy.
I can get on the throttle hard and she accelerates good. When I let off and just maintain speed, it's missing and lurching like mad. The bike idles perfectly like normal. The engine light comes on when the bike is missing.
We are 90 miles from the closest dealer and can't find any Indy shops in Devils Lake, ND.
Maybe a bad connection? Already changed out the plugs which looked pretty normal.
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. I don't want to scrap this trip with my 74 year old dad.
Steve
`Doesn`t look like the plugs are bad, as long as there is no crack in one of the insulators.
