So my buddy just sold me his stock 2012 Road Glide. Nothing really done to it but some Rinehart slip-ons.
Sold my '06 with 95 jugs, 203 cam and Hard Krome T Rex Tru Duals. Love the Hard Krome True Duals, unfortunately they no longer make pipes for the Grime.
What is the best performance set-up you guys suggest, short of a Trask turbo ???
Pipes ???
Cam ??
Tuner ??
Best Bang for the bucks, decatted head pipe & a stage 1 plus a tuner & maybe some time on a Dyno.
Let the bike breath, if you want 100 horse power you will spend big money, and may not be happy.

Thanks in advance.
Pipes....gutted pair of 2011 CVO slip-ons because they still have that "EPA" stamp on em
Header....Cobra Powerport
Cam...222 or 555
Tuner...Power Commander V. Plenty of time tested downloads
determine your budget- that'll steer you towards a $500 stage 1 or a $3000 motor build ( a 107 or 106" package from a known builder- there are a few proven packages in which each component is chosen to work with the others)
the more you do, the less reliable a bike and less MPG you'll get.
i stay with stage 1 on my touring bikes, and has been shown here a stage 1 can cost $2000 if an owner drops at the dealer and pays retail for what the dealer suggests...or under $500.
you already have mufflers- a decatted headpipe from ebay is about $150
ness big sucker about $125 ( easternpc on ebay)
nightrider.com xieds/vieds about $130 or less on classifieds.
that'll get you 7 to 10 horsepower- reliable and retain MPG.
the mild power gain won't require a new clutch or break your tranny or belt- which is kinda good.
while HD doesn't publish HP specs--- the screaming eagle catalog does publish before and after dyno curves for 96 and 103" motors. a good place to get "real numbers".
a stock 103" will peak at about 65 HP- so a stage 1's 7 to 10 hp is a 10 or 15% increase and noticable
