No Toil Kickstand Upgrade

When I had my Nightrain drop (pre-kickstand reinvention by HD) I took it off, maintained it, and then re-installed it as per the shop manual. In following the shop manual the spring is installed with an additional half turn in the spring (I checked this at the dealer) and the problem went away.

This is my sixth HD in my 59 years and to date, I have never had one with this sloppy of a jiffy stand. Look how long it took them to get to the 107 and get rid of alot of the design shortcomings of previous motors? Guess in another 100 years, they'll get to the jiffy stand!

Installed last week and I get a solid positive snap into place. Some might argue it's not a problem, but it makes me feel better. This is my first Harley and it was a concern from day one. Worth it IMHO.

maybe someone bent your spring before you got your bike? my jiffystand has a very positive feel to it, no slop at all. unless you're talking slop as in forward movement while leaned over on the stand? if so, well, hell, they all do that
