New bike (3 days old now) and I'm trying to figure out some things. I changed the code for the security system and decided to test it. I left the fob in the house and was still able to start the bike. I figured it was because the fob was too close to the bike so I put it in a drawer in the bedroom at [:@]the back of the house. Still didn't work. It's as if the system isn't armed. I'm clueless!

Can't solve your problem, but if mine is more than 6-8-feet from my bike, it's armed. I was working on my bike one day in the garage. Had the fob in my jacket pocket with the jacket on my work bench about 6 feet from the bike. The lights kept flashing, driving me crazy until I took the fob out of my jacket, and put it the tour pack as I worked on the bike.
Are you sure the dealer activated the fob's? They are not automatic and must be activated with a code in the fobs. This happened to me and I was in the same boat as you. The alarm would not work and I actually drove the bike away without a key fob with me. Go to the dealer, ask them to activate it. It should only take them 10-15 minutes.
Hope this helps.
