I think the range is around 6'-8' or so. It's pretty short.

Found this out the hard way...
That works fine as long as you don't have any zeros in your zip or SSN.
Security module will only accept numbers from 1 - 9 for each digit of the code.

Is your system working correctly? If I even sit on my bike without the FOB the lights start flashing, don't stop until the bike is perfectly still, then start flashing again with any motion.

or just use the last five digits of your vin (you can add one to all number, or in reverse order, or... to add another level of security) that way you do not need to engrave a number.

I thought that too. For some reason the bike started with the spare fob at least 18' away behind a closed garage door. The main fob was even further away on the 2nd floor of the house. Go figure!
