I've loved my 11 Street Glide with the limited edition Apple Green and Vivid Black paint and PowerPac option. But from day one hated the requirement to use two hands to open the friggin saddle bags----so I've ordered the 15 CVO Street Glide---hope to hell I don't regret the cost....
I should have gone with the Ultra CVO. I have probably spent more $$$$$ on upgrades than it was to have purchased a CVO in the first place........ Plus their color schemes ROCK!
Regret changing to too much black on my 2010 Street Glide. It started looking like a black blob. Especially regret changing the Thunderheader to black. Tried powder finishes and ceramic coating at last (after dyno tuning by John Millers HD race team). I am convinced nothing stays on a Thunderheader. Every finisher made their promises and did their special prep work. None worked out in the end. Even the ceramic had specs come off after the summer months of riding. After totaling the black bike, going with a Jackpot Headpipe and Touring mufflers in chrome on new Street Glide. I will use a moderate amount of black parts again. But I just do not trust any aftermarket black finish on exhaust now. I paid dearly for those lessons. Factory D&D Fat Cat in black held up great on our Fat Bob.
Also, the vivid black wore me out keeping it clean and swirl free. Now that I am starting over I am going back to a Street Glide, but this time it is Ember Red Sunglo. I needed a change.
