Just joined and thought I would introduce myself. I have been a long-time rider of foreign motorcycles. I have been on a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 for many years and never wanted a Harley. I always felt some Harley riders were biker snobs when it came to non-Harley rides. To me, it doesn’t matter what you ride, as long as you are riding. I didn’t feel the extra expense for a Harley was worth it, well things changed.
I recently purchased a friend’s 2015 Ultra Limited with 7k for a really good price, not bad for my first Harley. Wow, what an upgrade from my old one. Harley has really gone that extra mile to make the rider feel comfortable on long rides, thanks to Project Rushmore. This thing has everything and then some for any long distant trip. The Rinehart slip-on sounds mean, hell I think it farts mopeds out of the pipe. The girlfriend loves the back seat controls. It is a bigger bike and it won’t take long to get used to the extra weight.
I will be reading and sharing experiences on this forum.
