Wild 1's are a definite improvement over stock. Replaced my stock Dyna bars with pullback drag bars, much more comfortable and they were under $200.00 if you shop around. Best bet is to look at their website, very informative http://www.wild1inc.com/. There is a sales phone number there also, give them a call, they'll ask you about your riding style, height, etc. and what you want to accomplish with the bar change. Recommend them w/o hesitation.
The actual swap took a little time, but I chose to go with the switch wiring routed through the bars, it just looks better. Matter of personal preference. The only thing changed on my FXD was a longer brake line, but I was going to a braided line anyway, seemed like a good time to get it done.
