hi all i'm allen i joined a few weeks ago looking for info about my bike and now im finaly getting around to introducing myself.
I finaly got my first harley a couple weeks ago it a 1991 FLTC-U that i am converting into an FLHS or tour glide sport if you will, and before people start asking why i bought a bagger to strip down. i just want to say it was a finacial decission i wanted a road king but it was not in the budget so i then started looking at electra glide sports but there are not alot of them around here let alone in my price range.
so after some research i figured out that underneath they are the same bike so i found the tour glide with 40k miles for $5k and after removing and selling just the tour pack on ebay i got enough money to purchase the headlight conversion kit and light bar with spots and turn signals as well as a roadking style windshield and mounting brackets i am leaving the hardbags since thats the 1 thing i realy wanted on the bike.
i chose such a big bike because i am a realy big guy and a sporster definatly was not gona do it and even the dynas seemed a bit small on me.
so thats my story and just wanted to say thanks for all the info i have learned so far and will probably in the future.
allen
parts should be in sometime at the end of the week or early next week so i will post when i have her all buttoned up and maybe a bath. she had been sitting in a garage for a couple years before i found her
