Been lurking a while but figured since I now actually
own a Harley, I might want to post a question of my own from time to time. I grew up riding dirt bikes and had a Honda Interceptor when I was young and dumb. I sold it when I joined the Air Force and got stationed overseas. As I smartened up (the military tends to do that), I realized that thing would have gotten me killed or my license taken away- just too easy to go too damned fast. So, I became responsible and let it all go. Fast forward a few (ok quite a few) years, I retired from the AF and all of a sudden, I get a real strong hankerin' to ride. Started looking at Fatboys and dreaming... Then sat on a Road King and knew I was in for it. Signed up for the MSF class and got my M1 back ( hello old friend

) the course was good, by the way, and got me tuned up and ready to ride again. Next day, I rented a Road king and put 373 miles on it for an extended test ride. Yep, that's the one for me. A month later and I am now the proud owner of a
2012 FLHR in Midnight Pearl.
Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
See ya on the road in AK!
