Harley Ride
Harley Ride
I'm beginning to look like
Many a motorcycle driver,
Getting wiser and older
Like million mile rider.
Pacific Northwest then south
Riding all day
Through the redwood forests
Santa Cruz and Monterey.
Salt Lake City, Albuquerque,
Riding hard across the USA.
Amarillo, Oklahoma,
The big OK.
Little Rock, Memphis,
To Atlanta G. A.
Atlanta to Savannah
Turn around the other way.
Now I'm heading back west
Just for the fun of the run,
My body, my Harley, and
My mind have become one,
So at the end I'll keep riding
Into the setting sun.
All my roads have been passable;
All my days have been good.
If you find me dead along the way,
Bury me with my Hog.
Understood?
