i picked up i sporty from a friend for next to nothing , the bike was sitting in a shed for ten plus years , its a 93 833 sporty with 2600 original miles on it, i replaced the front tire cause it was dry rotted , but the rear tire looks brand new plenty of tread and no side wall cracks, i put just about 100 miles on it since i brought her back to life question is who would replace it just because of it sitting for so long and who would ride it till it wears out ????

If it still has an original Harley Dunlop (did you check the date on the side of the tire?), the rubber is real hard, will have far less traction than new, and you won't ride it long before the sidewall starts cracking; that rubber's brittle and when it starts flexing, it'll start breaking up. It won't last long on the street, best be safe and change it now.
If either wheel was spoke, be darn sure to change the tubes, too. I always use tubes with metal valve stems also. Cast wheels, don't re-use rubber valve stems. I had an old one break off when I tried to put air in it, fortunately in my garage. I use metal stems on cast wheels, too. Any kind of wheel failure is the worst to have on a motorcycle. Hope you checked the wheel bearings, some kinds of grease dry to a solid chunk of clay in that time.

Dunlop recommends replacing tires over 6 years. That's what I do.

Should be an oval marking with 4 numbers on a sidewall (not on both sides). First two, week of the year, last two, the year. 0212 would the second week in January 2012 (not February 2012).
