I'm always amused by threads that ask for the 'cheapest' tyre. Just what is 'cheap'? We can pay to have a new tyre delivered to our home; or drive to a shop or dealer to collect a new one; or visit a shop and pay to have it fitted to a loose wheel; or ride-in, ride-out. What are the rules for 'cheap'!

Me? I order what I want at my local Yamaha dealer, just a couple of miles away, they tell me when it is in stock and take my loose Harley/Buell wheels to their shop, get a coffee and have a chat. Greatest value I can find!

I've been happy with the Dunlop American Elites on my Heritage. IMO, they're way better than the stock Dunlop D402.

I picked up a nail in my rear dunlop tire, had it replaced with 28,251 miles on it. I then decided to change the front tire because it was down to 3/32" and it had 23,359 miles on it. Could have gone much farther, but had the money and time. Don't tempt fate.
