Is there a trick to getting the radio to go to the next song in a USB drive? The "seek" or "next" button works when it's playing songs from my phone via blue-tooth, but not when playing songs from the USB.

The radio on on restart one I don't get. If I turn the unit off (long hold on the mute button), it stays off until I turn in back on. Through multiple restarts. It always has. __________________

OFFTHEWALL, LUCKY YOU, I can leave the house with it off, get fuel it is still off, stop again it's on. WTF, It don't always do it, just most of the time. I can turn it off blocks from the house, next AM it comes on with start. Very annoying to me, I don't think it should come on unless I ask for it to! If it is supposed to come on, it should at least come on what was last used. Radio or whatever...............

Did you unzip the file? My 2015 wouldn't recognize the flash drive for the upgrade. Any nuances I need to know about. Thanks

I know a guy that had this problem and he tried the update several times and it would not work. He then did the factory reset and did the update and it took care of his problem. Another guy I know, this didn't work but when he took his bike to the dealer and had them do the flash, it took care of the problem.

Yes, you need to unzip the file and place the iso file on the usb drive. Here are the instructions right below where you downloaded the file from.

2. Download the latest software version from harley-davidson.com
a. Select "Download Software Update" for the appropriate system.
b. When prompted, save the compressed file to your computer desktop.
c. When the download is complete, copy the file within the zipped folder to the root directory (the first or top most directory in
a file system) of a USB flash drive that is 8 GB or larger.
d. Turn your vehicle's ignition switch to ACCESSORY. (Keyless ignition vehicles: press and hold the trip switch for more than
two seconds).
e. Turn on the audio system and connect the USB flash drive to the audio system's USB port.
f. The audio system will detect the new software available and ask if you want to update. Select “Yes”. The display will prompt
you to remove the USB drive when the update is complete.

I have the update on USB but before I install I was wondering if anyone knows if the NAV Clock issue for Washington and Oregon Pacific Time Zone reading Alaska Time has been fixed. It would be nice to keep the clock on NAV time instead of User Time so the clock will update on its own.

My bike (14 FLHTK) was manufactured 8/13 if that makes any difference. The 1.17.5 update was what got my AVC to work somewhat. I've been reluctant to try any other updates since then. I think I'll sit on the sidelines until there are more reviews on 1.18.3.
I wish I still had 1.17.5, except for the upgrade in NAV waypoints in this version it was the best one I had. I even begged for a downgrade back to 1.17.5 after installing 1.18.2 and was told no. Now I save revisions!

Two issues I've had through all updates are: 1. I mostly stream music from my iPhone via Bluetooth and every time I shut down, it always returns to radio, forcing me to go through the multistep process of launching streaming again, and 2. On multiple occasions and without warning, upon start up, I lost all of my XM presets which for some reason changed to WB presets. Forcing me to manually tune the XM stations then re-enter them as presets. So damn annoying. I would classify both of these issues as "stability problems" so I really hope this update addresses them.

I believe that Harley is in the process of releasing their own Wireless set-up by Summer. The system is the same as in in Auto you may own, that accepts voice commands. In your auto, it is actually not wireless. The Microphone in your car is hardwired to the audio system the same as Harleys microphone is hardwired into the boom box system. All voice command systems have their limitations. Thank You, Grant.
PS You can read all about these issues on numerous sites. Including Automobile sites.

I actually thought there would be more interest in a wireless mic than there is??

Maybe you should check the Sierra website? Here's the link: http://www.sierra-mc.com/sierra.asp

I went through all their products in all 3 categories they list & there's nothing that'll allow BT voice commands to HD's Infotainment system. If I missed it, please share the link. Thanks.
