yeah....although I wish it was more quiet, at least the klunk is a manly-man kinda klunk...sure beats the sound of ducati's spinning can of nuts n bolts death rattle dry-clutch system
Ya, ok, whatever my bad. V-Twin primary still the same people.
Did a 200 mile ride yesterday with zero results. I call this entire thread B.S.
Thanks to all for wasting me $40 bucks on snake oil.
This reminds me when I bought a bagger brace for my 08 EGC that everyone claimed would stop the wobble. Thanks again to all who thought it was the end to the problem and wasting me another $200 bucks!
FROM NOW ON I WILL TAKE THESE KIND OF THREADS WITH A GRAIN OF SALT!
I'm running Spectro Heavy Duty 6 Speed Trans fluid in mine and Formula+ in the primary. I get a clunk on the initial shift into 1st but it gets better as I ride. Neutral has always been easy to find. I'm happy with these fluids but if Redline makes that big of a difference I might try it.

I hope you are not saying the "dry" clutch used in Shovels and earlier bikes were not manly. Personally I preferred that system since nobody had to decide what primary lube was the "best"

The Klunk is caused by the clutch plates sticking together and it seems over the years that everybody on this forum has different experiences with different oils. But the best advice I got Here that works for me is cycle the clutch lever with engine warming while backing out of the garage. That for me seems to separate the plates 90% of the time. Something about backing that seems to help.
I did that once on my 08 and took out a bearing 2000 miles later.
Been there done that.
Are you the guy that said on another thread that you changed to ATF at 16k and 2k later the bearing went out? If so you might want to include that info in your statement.
And if so, all I can take away from that is you had a bearing go out at 18k.
Maybe it was going to go out at 16.5 and the ATF prolonged it's life a bit.
