2023 street glide ST
I exported the data to my USB drive.
I used the toolbox and it downloaded the available update.
Plugged in the USB drive and switched to accessory. It found the available update on the drive and click to install now. The unit reboot it appears and just shows a blank screen. Left for an hour. YouTube videos I watch take typically 10 minutes and provides visuals on the screen.
So after the hour I bail on the update and turn off the system. Turning back on is just a blank screen. I finally found that if I leave the drive out and hold down on the soft power/mute button it will come to a screen that says to insert the drive with the update and press retry. You can't get to any other screen. Inserting the driving and pressing retry just goes to the blank screen again.
Anyone experience this. I used to be an IT engineer and now in cyber security, so I understand technology pretty well. Just no experience with this particular product.
After you download the update, be sure you are copy the "ISO" file itself to the root of the flash drive... no folders. Be sure your flash drive is formatted FAT32 (ExFat and another will work too, but I use FAT32)...
How to get out of the "loop" you appear to be in... I don't know, I'd try a reset if it didn't straighten up after I tried reformatting my flash drive and putting the ISO file on the root of that drive by itself.
Last one I see is the one from January... It fixed the EITMS status on the info screen for my 2016 RGU with a GTS... it always said "Disabled" regardless what its actual status was. Looks like thats the only thing it addressed.
UpdateMY23.22.27.00 Description of Release
[Warranty] EITMS Status on GTS Kit
Retrofitted bike with 4-bit EITMS message is now supported.
I tried formatting another USB drive with fat32. I took the iso in the root directory and copied it over to the root of the new USB drive. That didn't seem to help.
Looking at the link posted of the release logs it looks like I was already on the latest version of the software M23-22-27, so not even sure what exactly the update the Harley toolbox was providing me. Maybe some map updates.
New bike, only 148 miles. Called my sales guy and going to drop it off at the dealership tomorrow to see if they can flash it.
The only screen I can currently see if holding down the power/mute button before during on accessory.
That's a good question. The software just detected my synced USB driver and automatically suggested an update. I didn't have to specifically choose what updates to apply.
I just dropped it off at Harley. I will give an update when I can.

Thanks - your response will undoubtably help others here.
By the way, I am surprised the service teck didn't just go out to your bike and run his/her updates. Here, for those sorts of things, they just take their flash drive out to your bike and update. Really no need to leave the bike there.
