Default Left Hand Switch Housing Switch Binding

After installing new Kahuna grips, I found the horn/TC button was sticking and the toggle switch for scrolling through the lower display was sticking.

I loosened the mounting screws and retightened just enough to maintain the freed up motion of the switches. It’s on there, but certainly
not as tight as I would normally tighten a housing.

Normal solution?

I've not seen this happen. Then again, if you tell us the year and model of your bike, you might get a more definitive response.

Who knows, you might need a replacement left switch pack

Whoops…sorry. It’s a 2020 RGL.

If the binding happened after install, you might want to double-check your work.

No problem. You can still buy the left hand - but it is $275. If you indeed need one - buy the lighted switches - they are $324 per set.

After checking your install, I might suggest you tighten it back down. If it binds, you probably need a new switch pack. You can probably find one here

Take the housing apart and look for the issue, like a wire in the wrong place.

Did you index the grip in the housing? There is a locater on the grip that holds the grip in only one spot so it wont rotate on the bar.

Thanks, Jake. Yeah, when installing the left grip, it won’t seat properly unless you align the tab/notch correctly. It wouldn’t lock under the housing unless it’s indexed correctly. Thanks for the exploded view, I appreciate that!
