Well then maybe you have one of those "'14 gremlins." There was one guy that said his dealer was just gonna swap out his radio cuz it had a problem and that his dealer already had 3 others that he was swapping out. I think he was in KY. hopefully your close and you can go to that dealer and get a new radio. Otherwise hopefully it is something that can be addressed in an update. Other than that I guess I got nothing else for you.
Freaking thing is possessed. I'll have the dealer look at either at the 1k service or when I go pick up my new tour pak lid they're replacing for the faulty paint.
Am I the only one that is receiving crappy FM reception on the 6.5 system? I took it to the dealer today. After checking the software version, which I already updated, they said they were going to order me a new head unit. They also said mine was the third they were having to replace.
Got a call from the dealer yesterday asking me to bring my bike in because the moco denied the warranty claim. They want the tech to try a bunch of other things and are going to Skype with him so they can be sure he is doing as instructed. They told the dealer it would be about a 3 hour process. What a load!

Interesting.. my FM reception blows as well. I mainly use the ipod for tunes, but if I pay this much for this thing, I'd really like for it to work! Let me know how this works out for you. I am thinking of pulling the fairing and making sure the antenna is connected securely. I might even temporarily plug in a car antenna just to see if that makes any difference. Well, at least this is one thing Harley kept consistent with previous year models!
Those of you that are having noise in your speakers; I suggest you check the Intercom settings. Turn OFF the intercom & see if that doesn't fix the issue.
If you're having poor FM radio reception, have your dealer inspect ALL the antenna connections between the radio & the antenna itself. Have heard local reports from 2 other '14 Limited owners that reported this issue was resolved when the antenna connections were properly tightened.

Had my connections checked and replaced antenna wire. No help. Went to another dealer. He told me there were a lot of complaints about popping etc. Told me upfront, there was no fix. HD knew about it and was working on it. I asked what he suggested. He said to check back in a month.

Just picked my bike up from the dealer. Apparently, and I guess I should red the manual (if the info is in there), there are settings where you can only have the radio pick up country, talk, religious, etc. Well, apparently mine had been set to pick up only country and religious stations. It was reset and now it picks up all stations, most importantly, rock stations. The reception is still not as good as it was on my 12, but it is a huge improvement. Hope this helps.
my auto volume works better now with the update ( not as good as the 09 flhx ) but yesterday my xm started to crack and static very bad like loosing a radio station then lost volume all together when I went to turn up the volume it said prompt volume ( gps ) shut the bike off and restarted and nothing radio , i-pod , xm all dead parked it for 4 hours and it all started working again

They definitely need to fix the infotainment gremlins. My volume doesn't work sometimes. Sucks to have to pull over or turn the bike off and back on again at a stop light to fix it.
