Any suggestions for a connector for the iphone to bike. I dont see one on bestBuys website or do I have to go Apple?
Are some better then others?
Are you talking the 6.5 radio? If so I bluetooth mine, works great. If you want to hook it up in the jukebox compartment you will need a regular old usb to lightning cable like the one you charge the phone with everyday.
Thanks. I do have the 6.5 and I guess what I was trying to ask is my cord is too long to pile in there and the Infotainment cord is real stiff. Would a adapter with no cord to it be better or one with with a maybe one or two inch cord if they have them work better?

Well first off you could take out the foam in there and that would give you more room. If your worried about the phone bouncing around in there maybe put in a small rag or something. Then yes there is short cables you could use (dont know how long your cable is right now). But I still have to ask why you just dont use the bluetooth for the phone? Anyway I dont think they sell just an adapter that would be a usb male direct to a lightning plug. Heres one I found on Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-Short-...item3f27f5eaec
The only way to access your musics "library" is connect it. Thanks, It looks like the short one will work.
I'd use a thumb drive but for some reason it wont recognize them when I put them on there. They work with my phone connected though.

I'm able to access my Iphones music library thru bluetooth. If your having problems with the thumbdrive first make sure it is formatted in FAT32. Also some of the old ones dont seem to be read by the system. Also I thought I read that people were having trouble with a thumbdrive with music coming from a MAC. If you can, get a flashdrive to work. You can do alot more with the music on it. I put about 400 songs on mine the other day and its so much more customizeable. Now I just leave it hooked up in my jukebox compartment.
On the 6.5 on a S.G.S. Updated software too.
1) I read somewhere of turning the W.B. off. Can this be done on the street glide or is this another bike option.
2) My radio is cutting in and out. Anyone else having this issue?
As the guinea pig that I am, I purchased a 2014 limited. The automatic speed/volume feature of the stereo does not work. In working with the dealer, they had me update the head unit software, which I did and it still did not solve the problem.
They informed me of two other problems with the unit, one is the display goes blank with no user intervention, and another is the navigation activates also with no user intervention.
For those of you who actually have a 2014 with the advanced head unit, I would like to hear of your experiences or problems with it. And the fixes you did to remedy the problems.
The software update took me all but 5 minutes and is easily done. If you want to do this the update can be found at the following link:
In addition to the auto volume not working, the unit occasionally will not dim at night requiring the bike to be shut off & turned back on, opposite during the day, the screen blacks out & bike has to be shut off. The arrow on the NAV screen can be changed to a motorcycle in the setup but reverts back to the factory presets when turned off. Same with the optional color settings. The system is supposed to send out a text saying you are on the bike when one is received but it does not work. Most annoying is a loud crackling through the speakers when listening to the radio. The dealership said they are aware of the problem(s) and that HD is working to solve them. Dealer said the download makes it better but does not solve the issue. When I called HD they acted like it was the first time they heard of it. A friend also has an Ultra Limited with the same issues.

I have contacted HD on numerous occasions about the radio problems. Every time they tell me I am the first to report it. Have been to two dealers. The crackling and popping is so bad the radio is unusable at times. I have been on Harleys 25 years, all new. If this isn't resolved soon, I will be on a Victory. Riding a HD is not that important to me to be treated like this.
2014 Limited-4700 miles.
I downloaded and installed the most current software change.
AVC does not work-tried all four settings with no luck. Volume stays where I set it at all speeds.
I loaded a route into the GPS in .gpx format and it did load and looked to be working when activated. However, all along the way, on I81 northbound, it directed me to exit at every single exit, make 2-3 turns and access the interstate again. I tried several separate files with different destinations and it did the same thing each time. Ignoring the direction resulted in a "recalculation" at every exit. I eventually stopped the route each time due to the nearly continuous GPS voice direction.
In riding south on route one from Bar Harbor, Maine, the road was usually shown anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 mile out to sea, paralleling the coast line. Another 2014 with me at the time noticed the same thing.
In accessing the XM traffic/weather, the weather function worked fine but when selecting the traffic function, it would show the various roads available for viewing, but when selecting a road to hear traffic conditions it said I must be stopped in order to hear current conditions. That seems to be the only function I have found that requires the bike be stopped in order to work.
Encountered cracking/popping while in the Bluetooth mode as well as FM. Also, some of the Bluetooth options are not available every time.
