2014 Limited-4700 miles.
I downloaded and installed the most current software change.
AVC does not work-tried all four settings with no luck. Volume stays where I set it at all speeds.
I loaded a route into the GPS in .gpx format and it did load and looked to be working when activated. However, all along the way, on I81 northbound, it directed me to exit at every single exit, make 2-3 turns and access the interstate again. I tried several separate files with different destinations and it did the same thing each time. Ignoring the direction resulted in a "recalculation" at every exit. I eventually stopped the route each time due to the nearly continuous GPS voice direction.
In riding south on route one from Bar Harbor, Maine, the road was usually shown anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 mile out to sea, paralleling the coast line. Another 2014 with me at the time noticed the same thing.
In accessing the XM traffic/weather, the weather function worked fine but when selecting the traffic function, it would show the various roads available for viewing, but when selecting a road to hear traffic conditions it said I must be stopped in order to hear current conditions. That seems to be the only function I have found that requires the bike be stopped in order to work.
Encountered cracking/popping while in the Bluetooth mode as well as FM. Also, some of the Bluetooth options are not available every time.
More to come...
Be sure you have it set to calculate appropriately, you have the choice of fastest, shortest, scenic or twisty. You could be led off the desired route based on a setting. As far as being out to sea, I have not idea.
Other than the icon changing back to an arrow, mine works great.
Has anyone else had a problem with an echo when using the intercom? I have a 2014 Ultra limited. My wife and I both hear an echo when either of us talk. I had it before and after doing the software update. I'm using headsets from my 2012 Limited. I'm wondering if they may not be compatible with the 14.
I am having a volume issue with mine. Downloaded and installed the latest SW version. This didn't help. Sitting still bike not running, set the volume, sounds good. I start the bike the volume drops. Shut the bike off the volume comes back. It seems to loose a lot of bass.
10-27-13: I just talked to the service manager, HD is aware of this problem and is being addressed, they should have a fix in an up coming SW release.

In some cases the radio crackling is being solved by running a separate ground wire from the antenna base to a better place towards the front if the frame. Seems the ground to the rear is not a good connection and causes the snap, crackle, pop on some.

Mine does the same thing . Keep us informed on what they say.
So you were successful pairing your Sena Bluetooth headset???? My Bluetooth headset will not pair. I contacted Sierra Electronics and then a Harley Ride planner tech, was told by both that Bluetooth headsets will not pair. Only the iPhone Bluetooth works... They said the CB radio prevents Bluetooth headset connection ...... How did you get yours paired ??????
Text messaging not working - Mine worked as received. After the 17.1.1 download, text messaging no longer works.
Radio (music) cuts in & out - This is a common issue/complaint that applies to any system that includes an intercom. Turn off the intercom or play your music through the headset(s). I've had to show this to a bunch of local riders, sometimes multiple times. There is also a reception/signal strength issue on the '14s, but if you have cut out issues with strong signal stations, look at the intercom.

More than just the iphone blue tooth works.
The problem you have with your sena headset is because the bluetooth headset is a reciever made for devices to pair with. Phones and such are more like bluetooth transmitters. It all has to do with what device initiates the pairing process.
The infotainment system begins the pairing process just like the headset so that is why they will not pair. I believe whoever told you the cb kept it from working was making up a complete fabricated story. The 2 technologies have nothing to do with each other.
My 6.5 radio wouldnt turn on the other day. I had to shut the bike off and turn it back on to make it work.
Anybody else experience this?
No, but I've had to shut down the bike and restart for the volume to work. Yesterday, I was streming bluetooth music from iphone and it was palying a different song than it was displaying. That's a new one....Then, after the song ending and the new song came on, the display fixed itself.
