Does anyone no somewhere that i can take my SGS to? I want to put on the 2" pullback bars #56176-08 on. The dealer wants way to much $$$ and they have different ideas about the lines and wires. They say i need to extend them. I live in the Vancouver BC area and looking for someone up here that can help out and make a few bucks. Are they that difficult to change them? Thanks
I had the fairing mostly ready to come off today, I was going to pivot it forward and see if I could rotate the stock bars back some (which you can't, there is some sort or hard stop) but with either the upper or lower bolts in and the other removed it would not pivot more than a little bit. Then I got the box open with the manual I ordered and it says to remove all four bolts THEN pivot the fairing. If you do that - what's holding it up?

Just did mine last week. remove the headlight bucket. It is hitting the bottom triple tree and preventing the fairing from rotating forward.
Headlight bucket? Maybe I'm missing something but there isn''t one - it has an LED in the outer fairing.
Ahhh, I see you didn't follow JT_HDs directions. Those passing lamps/turn signals need to come off, then the studs they mount on also come off. THEN you can tilt the fairing.
My bad, I thought you had those off already.
I did that after that photo, tried with either the top or bottom studs out but I guess they all need to come out. I still don't see a bucket as it were.

Yeah. All 4 studs have to come out. The faring then lifts slightly up and it will then rotate forward and the legs of the faring will catch underneath and stay put. This will give you access to the Handlebar bracket and anything else you need. I used the NAMS wire extensions and rerouted the clutch and brake cables I had to extend the Heated grip wires. I soldered and shrink wrapped the wires without any problems. Good Luck.
