2018 Sport Glides
Very interesting handlebars you have on your bike. How's the wrist angle?
Also, are those HD lowers? and do you have part number for them?
I might add some lowers too. I should be getting MS batwing fairing in a few days, we'll see then how it performs.
It should be attached to this response (first time posting video)
I think the stock rear LEDs are plenty bright already but I replaced the front with CD LEDs which makes huge difference.
There's a review on webbikeworld done in Canada, and that bike has a central brake light. Thought it was a 2019 thing, but yours is a 2019 with the same lights as an '18, so I guess it's a Canada-market thing.
They are narrow (26) and perfect for my liking.
I thought the pull back was waaay too much before I installed them, but it turned out its really comfortable. Stock cable, wires all fit perfectly. These were NOT straight bolt on bars. The throttle grip sensor didnt fit inside the bars (inner diameter being too small)
so I had to transplant that section of the stock bars. It was a lot of work just for handlebars but Im glad I did it.....
the lowers are, in fact, genuine HD hard lowers. I dont have the part number off hand but these are vented lowers for ~2013 touring bikes. They dont fit in the engine guard like its supposed to, but I think it doesnt look too bad the way they sit in the softail engine guard. So Im good with that. If you are a perfectionist, it might bother you that they dont fit as its iriginaly designed.
With the stock peg set up, the brake pedal was contacting the vent door of the lowers when opened. I was ok with it (I like the protection that lowers give me more than the small issues....). When I installed the boards and brake pedal for the board set up, it actually gave me a little more room. A nice surprise. I think the brake pedal is shaped a little differently for peg or board.
Now, since I'll be riding in 35F or so for over 100 miles, I'm thinking about having the dealer install the HD black heated grips. Are there any issues with them on the Sport Glide. Also, anything of note that I need to address right away? Getting a different seat and few farkles for now, besides the grips.

A heated jacket liner would be a good thing to have, too.
When I had a road glide with lowers, Ive been in as low as 17F.
When your core is kept warm, it makes a HUGE difference in how you feel.

I'll give it another test tomorrow of course, maybe riding a standard in-between bt RK and the Sport Glide has changed my mind...

I don't know why any bike made for light touring duty or beyond doesn't come standard with heated grips...especially when the bike is in the $19k range. You'd be hard pressed to point out an adventure touring bike over $16k that doesn't come standard with heated grips. General rule of thumb...if it has cruise control, it should have heated grips.
