Belloc42, you are correct on the Sport Glide central tail light in Canada. Got me looking in the online parts catalog and the tail light for Canada is p/n 73403-11a shown as #6 in the parts illustration. I would be interested to know if this could be added easily to US Sport Glides?

When I added the Hyperlites, they wired into the wire bundle that went to the license plate light, rather than to the bundles that went to the two signal/brake lights. It didn't make sense at the time, but it does now. I'll bet you could wire it in, but I'm not sure what would happen with the signal/brake lights. Might want to do more research before you start splicing.

Look at your wiring dagrams. As I said in my previous post I added a rear brake light to a Fat Boy using an unused pn in an existing connector. The bikes wiring are all the same, it’s the accessories that vary by region. Tail light in this situation.

OK, she's mine, all mine! 2019 Sport Glide in Midnight Blue, with less than 600 miles, and 38 days of ownership by prior buyer, who traded her in for a big dresser (according to the dealer anyway). Love it, got to ride it for 116 miles in 35F weather with 20+ MPH winds, and I don't care, my hands will thaw out some day Put heated grips into the deal, but have to wait to get it installed.

Anyway, tax return should be here in 3 weeks or so, and she's getting some extra loving soon. Looking at a different gauge and 2 seats (solo and good two-up). Contemplating going with Stage I, but really on the fence, Sport Glide M8 has a lot more guts than my '15 Road King with well done Stage I ever had, just thinking about sound.

With that in mind, has anyone found any gauges that show RPMs on a small dial, like you can get for the RK? I like seeing it while being able to display trip meter or time...

P.S. - Will post pictures this weekend!

Congrats on the new Sport Glide! Know exactly how you feel, I bought mine last January and froze my digits! What dealership did you buy your bike from?

Wow, small world, I just moved from Trophy Club last July Forgot to update my location. American Eagle was my go-to dealer in TX. Here around Charlotte I found Riding High HD near Greensboro, much smaller but a really nice place.

Miss the somewhat warmer Texas Winters, but having Blue Ridge Parkway for day trips is awesome!

I believe that is the same speedo as in the Heritage and other '18 softails. To my knowledge there is not no replacement speedo for it except for Dakota Didgital, that does make a unit that can be used but it lacks some of the functionality of the OEM unit. A direct replacement, like the one available for the RK, is one option that I, and a lot of others, would love H-D (or even DD) to offer, but they still don't.

Dang! Sorry we couldn't hook up for a ride! I picked my bike up at Texas Harley. LOL...I'm envious of the Blue Ridge rides!

The muffler cooks my wife's foot in the summer, which I blamed on the cat underneath the passenger peg. I started researching slip-ons to get rid of that. During my research, several people mentioned that these cats are not very restrictive so probably not to blame, but in the course of reading up on all this, I got interested in going for a different sound. It's really hard to tell much from sound clips, but I liked what I heard of the Cobra for the SG, and it was cheap, so I tried it. (https://cobrausa-vtwin.com/softailsreg/flsb_sport_glide_18_19/motorcycle_exhausts/slip_ons/ - mine is the slash cut black one) I liked it, but it was a little loud right off idle, and torque dropped a bit. Apparently the internals of these 909's for the Sport Glide are the same as the NH's, presumably because of the 2-1. I wanted a DK Torque insert, but you can't really get it in with the 2 layers and the slash cut end. So I made this, attached with the two internal screws that hold the baffle in (actually replaced them with longer ones, but same holes). I figured the washer needed to be up before the diameter opened up after the baffle. Result: Torque is back, sound is better and a little less - very deep throb at idle and low speed, but not loud or annoying at high speed. I'm very satisfied with how it turned out. I may experiment with washer size a bit, but it's cool the way it is.
