2018 Sport Glides
Put heated grips into the deal, but have to wait to get it installed.Anyway, tax return should be here in 3 weeks or so, and she's getting some extra loving soon. Looking at a different gauge and 2 seats (solo and good two-up). Contemplating going with Stage I, but really on the fence, Sport Glide M8 has a lot more guts than my '15 Road King with well done Stage I ever had, just thinking about sound.
With that in mind, has anyone found any gauges that show RPMs on a small dial, like you can get for the RK? I like seeing it while being able to display trip meter or time...
P.S. - Will post pictures this weekend!

Forgot to update my location. American Eagle was my go-to dealer in TX. Here around Charlotte I found Riding High HD near Greensboro, much smaller but a really nice place.Miss the somewhat warmer Texas Winters, but having Blue Ridge Parkway for day trips is awesome!

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
The muffler cooks my wife's foot in the summer, which I blamed on the cat underneath the passenger peg. I started researching slip-ons to get rid of that. During my research, several people mentioned that these cats are not very restrictive so probably not to blame, but in the course of reading up on all this, I got interested in going for a different sound. It's really hard to tell much from sound clips, but I liked what I heard of the Cobra for the SG, and it was cheap, so I tried it. (https://cobrausa-vtwin.com/softailsreg/flsb_sport_glide_18_19/motorcycle_exhausts/slip_ons/ - mine is the slash cut black one) I liked it, but it was a little loud right off idle, and torque dropped a bit. Apparently the internals of these 909's for the Sport Glide are the same as the NH's, presumably because of the 2-1. I wanted a DK Torque insert, but you can't really get it in with the 2 layers and the slash cut end. So I made this, attached with the two internal screws that hold the baffle in (actually replaced them with longer ones, but same holes). I figured the washer needed to be up before the diameter opened up after the baffle. Result: Torque is back, sound is better and a little less - very deep throb at idle and low speed, but not loud or annoying at high speed. I'm very satisfied with how it turned out. I may experiment with washer size a bit, but it's cool the way it is.
