Ladies and gents....
Future possible SG owner here (soon as I scrape the funds together, of course ). I'm curious what everyone's experience is with the forward controls that come stock on these wonderful-looking bikes. I'm asking because I'm a lifelong forward control rider, and I'm discovering that forwards are not that great for long rides (the wind slowly pushes my feet off sideways, so im constantly readjusting which is ANNOYING). So basically I'm thinking of converting to mids. Which means if I do go to a SG, I'll have to make the conversion. I'm not even sure these bikes are mid-control friendly... do they make a mid-control kit for it? Or would it just be standard HD mid controls and a new inner primary for the shifter shaft hole?
The floor boards in the picture above would then be on your negotiation list when you buy your bike . Just tell the dealer if they want the sale they must put them on for free !

Had a similar problem over long distances, so I fitted the new Fatboy floor boards, excellent result for me at least....
Hey I love those bags! Are those a special order? how much more were they for the different ones? Looks sweet!
Honestly ,although a great alternative they are overpriced and no where near the quality of the SG standard bag, I paid less than half price for them, if I had paid full price they would have gone back.
The tub itself is a slightly more polypropylene plastic and feels flimsy/flexible (the bags are solid once on the bike), the vinyl covering had some blistering which I sorted with a hair dryer and some pressure. Where the edges are folded around the back of the tub these were wrinkled and not bonded at all. The hinges and lid fitting was ok! and although not filling me with confidence never let any rain in over a weekend of wet riding.
So in conclusion .... They work.....BUT you will not be happy paying full price for them as they are never worth that, even for the HD badge
thank you. does it affect any on bike's handling? (I assume stock was 130/70B18?)
No idea whether I have changed things for the worse at the moment as the rear wheel is being built to match the front, the rear is being constructed with the same tyre fitment as the oem alloy wheel, will post a reply when completed and ridden..
The new front has the same/very similar rolling radius as the oem alloy so as not to upset the ABS, but obviously wider
