Got a new sport Glide June 1st. I am absolutely impressed with it's ride and handling , it's a sport bike with Harley Tins. Ride better than the road glide I traded for it . Only complaints so far , it's needs an oil cooler guard ,why did Harley not put one on it. Big mistake. The other is the tiny wind shield . But I understand what they were doing with this bike . For a Softail , it could be called a Sport bike . Love it.
There is a company called Fortress Customs or something along those lines that are making custom oil cooler guards, and I've seen a couple guys make their own guards as well. Glad you're loving your Sport Glide, it's a great bike! I just rolled over 3k on mine...in just over 30 days! Enjoy the new ride!
I bit the bullet and purchased a Memphis Fats 19" tall shield with their detachable hardware for my sport glide. Had previously put the 12" slipstreamer in the mini fairing and it didn't do it for me. 18 Sport Glide w/Memphis Fats 19" in Solar
Losing the fairing changes the look of the bike but for me form needs to follow function. Only had it up to around 60 mph but so far I like the way it functions.

Could be just the ticket for long trips. Does the hardware for the new windscreen keep you from attaching the OEM one if you want to go back and forth? I'll be interested to hear how you like it after a couple of hours on the freeway.

The Memphis shades hardware that stays on the forks will have to come off in order to reattach the fairing. You would need to remove 4 allen head screws.
I measured my forks and came up with approx.. 54mm. Harley had a quick detach clamp that I believe was used on a sportster at some point. It is a 55 mm quick clamp # 57287-07. I'm thinking I'll buy 4 of the harley quick detach clamps and see if I can retrofit them to the memphis shades hardware so I can do a quick swap out without using tools. I found some old posts where others did that fon their memphis shades windshields in the past. If that doesn't work I will most likely just keep the fairing off and go naked or windshield.

Sounds like a plan. Either way would probably work just fine.
Yea...that's not going to work for me. If you can get them installed right away, then ride through a couple of rain storms, I'd really appreciate it.
I had seriously considered the ME888s, but many posts I read mentioned that they are a very hard rubber, which made me question their wet weather performance. Hopefully you will have good experiences with yours. They are definitely supposed to last a lot of miles.
So the tires cam in today just opened the box really nice tread depth here are a few picts
I was and thank you, appreciate the feedback! If anyone is using something they like please share, I need a good option where I can view my navigation while riding.
I used to use the RAM X-Grip, but I've had to have two separate phones repaired because the image stabilizer broke. The vibration just killed the little mechanical part.
I recently upgraded to a Quad Lock, so hopefully that's better.

I am using the SP-Connect I really like the setup. I had a Ram Mount and hit a bump and the phone went flying at 80mph... Ohh was I pissed till I felt something sliding on my thigh. I switched to the SP-connect right afterward it is small and low profile when I am not using it and the phone is really secure.

How do you like it so far? My phone actually flew out of my mount this past weekend and spent the night on he side of the road in the middle of nowhere 😑 So I'm looking for a replacement mount.
