2018 Sport Glides

I can speak to that a little. I had a roadster and upgraded to the new Sport Glide. (Lurked for a couple months.)
I loved my Roadster but for longer touring rides I took a beating. I put a windshield on it, moved to mid-forward controls, never could find a bag to fit it though. It's a great around the town bike, but never was going to be great for longer rides. Too small of a tank, a brutal back-end suspension, no 6th gear, no cruise control, and almost no room for a pillion. It just wasn't going to work for how I wanted to ride this year.
I went with the Sport Glide because it seemed like a great base for what I wanted to do. And really it is. Its about 130 heavier, sits a little lower than the Roadster, but higher than the other softtails. And it rides so much smoother. It was startling at first how soft of a ride it is. The soft ride, vibration dampeners, and muffler were the first down side because it took almost the entire break-in period to get a real feel for the bike it was so quiet. The other down side is for being such a great base of a bike there are almost no aftermarket parts for the bike. Even from Harley. The bags are great (getting them painted now) just on how fast they can be put on and taken off. Can't say that I'm disappointed with the upgrade.

I rode without the muffler for about 100 miles, then just ended it cutting it and the heat shield to a third of its size. Yes, I know its a complete voiding of the warranty.I tried a few different slip-ons (head pipe on these bikes are 1 7/8 not standard 1/34, as a heads up) that did not fit and said to hell with it. Once some better exhaust options become available I will go that route. Like I said though, there isn't much out there in terms of aftermarket.

Loving the hell out of mine. Great bike, the shifting is very sweet, the Mono shocks are amazing. It is light and very very nimble. It corners like a champ and the power from the 107 Is kickass. Have zombie slip on from TAB performance and stage 1 cleaner from Harley. A Dyno tune from Fuel Moto. It's a peach. The saddle bags fit plenty more than it seems including my half helmet and leathers etc.

Went last weekend and rode the Low Rider and Sport Glide.I went with more interest in Low Rider but after riding both the Sport Glide is what I'm considering .Really comfortable handles great. I'm short 5'8" with a 30" inseam and the Low Rider had me feeling my knees were in my chest. Didn't much like the handle bar setup either. The Sport Glide really feels lighter than it is. But man is it quiet would need to do something about that !!

Just throwing in my 2 cents - I've had a '15 Road King and a couple of V-Rods recently. All around 32 degrees of lean on both sides. I like how the Sport Glide looks and the concept behind it - the do-it-all bike. I test rode one last weekend, and I have to say, it felt light and smooth, and fit me at 5' 11" well, but lean angle is just atrocious. For something that has Sport in the name, it scrapes pegs by just looking at corners. Overall, I walked away a bit disappointed as there really isn't many alternatives and I wanted to take it home.
