I just got a 2020 fat bob. Want to put a set of Vance Hines shortshots on it. I was leaning towards the VH FUELPAK4 and saw threads talking about the dynojet PV4. Then called a local Dynotune guy and he is about $650 for the Dynotune. Question is which is best? Keep in mind Im only planning to change the exhaust. Should I also change the factory air cleaning setup or leave it stock? No cam work, boring, or all that. Im not getting crazy with it. Just want it to look good, sound, perform good. Do I stick to auto tune? Or am I messing out by not doing the Dynotune and spending the extra money there? Thanks guys!
I had been preparing my 2018 Fat Bob to see if I could add it to the Iron Butt list and I finally had a chance last Sunday. (6/26)
Bike worked well. Carried extra fuel, didn't need it but it was close a few times. It was 1042 miles in 20.5 hours. Long day had a lot of stops. Route had a good mix of interstate of winding two-lane road.
Also stopped at the 45/90 Marker in Wisconsin and the Iron Butt sign in Iowa.
Nicely done! I did a couple of runs a couple of years ago (1100 in 19-ish, and 1500 in 36). But I had upgraded the gas tank to 5 gallons, and that made a huge difference! I'm sure it was more challenging with the 3.6 gallon tank.
I didn't know about that sign; I'll have to get a picture there next time I go in that area. What seat did you use? I used the Sundowner, it was great for long distance riding.

Thank you!
Used a Mustang seat. Had also added a short windshield and cruise control.
The Iowa Iron Butt sign is here.
The route map shows the location of the 45/90 marker and the sign.
