Yeah I thought this was a bit crazy... It's a freaking $8 part.. if they give me the run around on it, I'm just going to their parts department and I'll buy one and replace it myself.

I like my dealer but I would NEVER leave my bike there for a few days, especially for a rinky-dink part like that.

You could replace the wires with the "phat" SE wires.

Ceramic coated Heat shields

Full marks to Warr’s Harley Davidson today. 1st Service, engine bars and black exhaust shields - done. And the bike delivered back to my house. I mentioned the Fuel Cap rattle and they replaced it straight away.

I have a problem. I have a strong urge to roast the rear tire all the way through an intersection when pulling away from a light/stop sign that I can't seem to resist.

Well post some videos of this if you end up unable to resist doing so! I also get the urge to do this but don't want to end up screwing up and high-siding or something like that. Haha

Oh, it's happened numerous times.

So many reasons why that won't happen....the biggest being not posting evidence of illegal actions on the 'ol innerwebs for everyone to see.
