Mids also helped in quicker body placement.
Do you have some pictures with the bike and that tire set up?

360 miles on the odometer.. Noticed one of the spark plug boots is tearing; not on the plug side, but on the ignition coil side. Bike's garaged and not exposed to long periods of sun or weather...
Also, I've noticed that the bike is making a funny whirring noise in second gear, but only sometimes.
Finally, the bike hates stop and go traffic with the EITMS on - I went to rev up and let the clutch out, while on a slight incline and I thought the bike was about to stall before it realized I wanted power. So now I've been revving it a couple times before letting out the clutch so make sure EITMS knows I want both cylinders..

You sure your EITMS is turned on? Default setting at delivery is with it turned off.

Temperature of your oil has to be greater than 287°F too before it activates.

Living in an area with lots of "rolling hills". Had similar "almost stalling" issues in the beginning. Found that compared to my X-bones, the M8 likes a little bit of throttle before you release the clutch.

Does anyone make a low profile mount for the PV?

Yeah I turned it on. 107 running a stock tune, no mods. Roll the throttle forward until the Cruise light flashes green. You can audibly hear the EITMS kicking in.

At 15K miles the original tires are now at 4/32" for the front and 4.5/32" for the rear. The front tire scalloping is now equal on both sides and is very severe, but there is plenty of tread.

Finding a multi compound rear tire would help with the squaring off of the tire. The torque is the blame for that.

Well, I am just back from a 3k mile tour of Europe (including the HD 115th anniversary rally in Prague and a Rolling Stones gig) and I need new tyres for the bike. I was originally planning Avon Cobras (which I had on my 2014 Fat Bob), but am now thinking the newish Metzeler 888s might also be a good choice.

My rear in pretty squared off, but the front is fine. However, I just don't have confidence in the stock tyres.

Also.....I had the rear (non-ABS) bearing let go on me in the Black Forest. It was pretty scary. I had the bike taken to Tuttlingen HD and it was fixed under warranty, but at 7K miles this SHOULD NOT HAPPEN.

I will replace the non-ABS bearings with German made SKFs when I get the tyres done next week....

Has anyone come across anything like that?
well an update: I noticed yesterday that I only hear the noise when it gets hot and I start to push my knees away from the engine. Having worked that out a couple of legs in and out scissor movements confirmed that I guess I’m hearing the actual engine itself when my legs aren’t blocking it...

probably nothing to worry about?
