Luckily everyone has his own taste. I am not very enthusiastic. It’s is nicely done, but why did @idiomatically buy a fat bob? If you like fairings, buy a LRST. This is killing the original look of the fat bob….
This really wasn't about the fairing to be honest as like you I am not a big fan of them. I had a Killer Customs Aggressor in it before this that was very minimal and looked amazing. Sometimes however you have to go practical, I am doing a lot of night riding, every couple of days for hours and the stock headlight just wasn't doing it for me so that meant changing it out. I run LP Baja's on my 4wd and love them, so when I saw I could get LP4s on the Fat Bob I was in knowing that would fix my lighting issues BUT I had to give up the KC fairing and goto a larger Memphis one to cover the new lights, it also helped cover the new handlebars which I did at the same time to get the riding pocket perfect.
I had put 2" CJ risers on the stock bars as I really liked the stock drag bars but the rise wasn't enough and after about 3 hours in the saddle my elbows and shoulders would get sore, the new bars are perfect.
As to why not a LRST, they are uncomfortable as sin imo with those mid controls. I am short and I feel like my knees are up around my ears, no idea how tall people like them. The fwds on the FXFBS are perfect for me, and I can throw it about like a track bike. I picked the Fat Bob not for its styling, but how it fit me physically, and it's now dialed in perfectly for me. Each to their own right.

I've been thinking about doing a tank swap, but worried about how much bigger the tank is physically. I can't find any info, do you mind measuring your tank to see the dimensions? The fat bob's tank is approximately 14.5" at the widest part, 6" at the seat, and about 7.5" tall. Hopefully anyone has some insight.

I can't measure it right now as its still at the dealers waiting on the seat to be modified.I can tell you that my HD 19 inch windshield will need to be modified as its touching on full lock. The fork clamp rubber grommet and the upper windshield 'bracket'(the piece that mounts to the clamp) will touch. So I can either get these modified if possible(should be possible) and continue using the HD windshield, buy a MS Road warrior or use no wind protection.I love my 19 inch windshield though.I get what feels like zero wind out riding.

Ok I have my bike home. The Fat Boy,Sport Glide tank is approx 21.5 long,8.5-9 in height and approx 8.5 at the seat. The seat measure is difficult to interpret when one should measure the width though as it tapers down toward the seat.I needed my Saddlemen seat modified.
