The Everything Fat Bob Thread
The project took a while because I'd never done metalwork before. Didn't know what the hell I was doing, but I knew where I wanted to end up, so I quaffed endless hours of YouTube to teach myself about metalworking, shaping, tapping and cutting threads, the intricacies of an angle grinder, grinding, more shaping, machining, etc. Then when the first prototype came up way short because the muffler fit is different between the two bikes, I had to extend the heat shield which meant hideous weld scars, so I had to learn some bodywork techniques for smoothing out the transitions on the extended portions and angle-changed portions. Heck, I had to resurrect some of my 9th-grade geometry class to work out the angles, and fortunately I did already know a bit of 3D modeling as it took a bit of 3D scanning and modification of the resulting models to arrive at the prototypes, especially of the exhaust bracket and getting the pieces to fit exactly right. So, yeah, I took a few photos here and there, but I didn't extensively document the process.

Im going to attempt to remove it and trim the plastic base to fit at the tank. It literally needs 10mm removing.
Over the winter Id like to get it recovered in Alcantara with a nice custom pattern and logo potentially.
Collecting a Trask Assault 2-1 tomorrow to replace the V&H short shots.

Aslo,
I was wondering what kind of bag you can place between the steering and Shades faring,
I ordered a bag from Ali but I have sent it back,
I could only put my keys in it
