I thought it was a no-no mixing bias ply and radial tires?

I don't think it really matters at the end of the day. Maybe some years ago.

To my mind, radial = better than bias. So why not have at least one tyre better than stock - you only have two to count on!

After further inspection, no gaskets are leaking at this point. Only have 1082 miles on her now so she will be going in tomorrow for the 1000 mile service. I will point out the oil dripping out of the air cleaner assembly and see what they have to say about it. Still can't post pics since I have no phone and my camera took a dump.

Excellent - but don't plan on getting there if there's not another gas stop for 209 miles!

The tech that worked on my bike said that he as seen a few M8's that are puking oil out of the air cleaner due to the oil level. He filled it up a tad bit under the full mark and told me to let him know if I notice any more oil puke. So far so good. I guess these M8 engines are a bit like the Evo Sportster engines in the sense that when the oil level is at the full mark it will cause blowby. Will be keeping an eye on it. I guess I'm the only one here who has experienced this so far.

I put in 4.5 quarts at my oil change and the level is 6 dots from the bottom of the dipstick. I'm pretty sure as long as there is oil on the dipstick we are okay.

I got 199 miles out of a tank of fuel tonight. (The gas station was a lot farther than I expected!.)

After I filled it up I saw this:

I am and thanks to a tip from Confederate I researched "external breathers" and found all the information I need to address the issue with my bike. Apparently, this excess blow by seems to be a common issue but there are lots of tips for eliminating the oil in the breather. Don't have the links handy, but just do a search and you'll find what you need to know. Hope this helps.

I know coming from Sportsters that when the oil is filled above the half way mark on the dipstick they tend to have blowby and oil dripping out of the air cleaner. Does anyone know if this is the same on the 2018 Softails? My oil level is right at the full mark on the dipstick. That's how they had it at the dealer. Thinking of reducing the oil level to see if that helps. Any other thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
