Found bars on Fle-bay excellent shape for 60 shipped.
There were 2 with risers @ 100.00 and 125.00 (w/2" extensions).+ ship.
Will wrap bars with carbon and make Al. risers to fit exact how I want them.
Will pin and bond the risers to the bars, then wrap with more carbon for a 1-piece look.
Installed the Thrashin Supply footboards today (got them for Christmas). I set them at a comfortable angle, and it seems like the brake pedal should be higher. I moved it as far as the stock components will let me. There are only 2 threads left at the back of the master cylinder post.
Anyone have a suggestion for another brake pedal that has a higher angle?
No suggestions, just saying -- I was in the exact same boat. My solution was to raise the pedal as high as possible (as you have done), then angle the footboard down until it provides just enough clearance for full engagement of the brake pedal.
Initially I wanted the footboard at a somewhat steeper angle, yes, but I got used to this compromise very quickly. I have put on probably 20,000 miles with these footboards and I find them very comfortable and a massive improvement over the footpegs.
Is anyone aware of any company that makes a carbon fibre replacement for the dash trim panel? I know LA Fairing Co does a few carbon pieces but the dash trim doesn't seem to be one of them.
No, but ... there's a thread on here somewhere where someone wrapped all his gloss black pieces in carbon fiber vinyl wrap, it looked pretty awesome, so if you can't find something and want a cheap option, that wrap stuff is pretty easy to do and can look really good.
