Well I'm heading down this road again. Just purchased a 19" front Talon wheel from another forum member for my Fat Bob. I attempted this in the past and ended up receiving a bent/lopsided wheel the first go round so I sent it back to the seller.
Hoping this one will work out this time. Now to get some new tires. Thinking of going with some Avon Cobra Chromes this time. Any experience and/or opinions on these tires?
I have a 2015 Fat Bob the ignition randomly turns of. I am a mechanic and after so troubleshooting I find it is the switch. The switch is what I could call a brush and race type of switch that HD has gone with, which as an mechanic with many years working is electronic repair I have the option that these type of switches are terrible. I have checked and there is no recall for my bike. I have opened a ticket with HD about this so at least I know as of now they are tacking the issue. In my web search of this problem I see this was an issue for the 14 to 16 low rider. which had the same type of switch.
This is a huge safety issue. When you loose power in a turn, say at a light the bike wants to lay down abruptly, and while at highway speeds you go into a hard engine brake situation. The answer from the dealer is when this happens just by a new switch. Incase you did not know the switch is not a wearable part like brakes This should be addresses and corrected. I have had to repair my 2015 Fat Bob 4 times now.
After 4 months apart, the bike is back home. My local dealership did a great job getting it road worthy. Ive since stripped the tank and tins for paint and ordered some odds and ends. Ill post before and afters once complete. Oh and the body has healed up well too.
The lever that brings my kickstand down broke.
It's a pain in the *** to bring the stand down. Can I know where and how I can order a new stand. Please help!
