Nice bike (but I might be biased as I have a 2019). Do you know what rack that is? It looks to be quick detachable as well.

Cheers,

Has anyone here owned/tested/driven both the Fat Bob and Low Rider S? I have a Low Rider S but find the comfort a bit lacking in stock setup. Also need a passenger seat/pegs. I'm planning to testride the FatBob as soon as I can (probably end of august) and might consider trading in my LRS for a FatBob if (mainly) comfort is a bit better. As it is now, I think I'll need a new seat for the LRS, some pullback risers, passenger pegs, side plate mount and forward controls. These would cost me about 2.000 euro at the least (installed by dealer). Or I could trade in my LRS, might lose a bit of money on it, but the FatBob has everything I'd want to change about my LRS from the get-go and it has the manual adjustment for the rear shock which is a bit taller too. Looks wise, I both like them.

So would like to hear how the LRS compares to the FatBob, especially from someone who has experience with both. Not looking for a 'mine is better' discussion, just plain objective opinions. Thx.

I have driven the LRS before and own a FXFBS Fat Bob, FLFB Fat Boy and FXBB Street Bob in the new M8 platforms, if you talking comfort wise then you should choose a Fat Boy above a Fat Bob and even the Street Bob gives more comfort in
stock setup. For the Fat Bob making more comfortable you would need to swap the seat to, it have forwards but I installed these also on the Street Bob because I like to ride with forwards.

Long story short, a Fat Bob is not more comfortable as the LRS, you just got forwards and passenger pegs that's it , if you do not like the LRS seat then you do not like the stock FXFBS seat either ... this is just my opinion

An upgraded seat makes a huge difference with any bike. Stock Harley seats are rather poor. I guess it all depends on hand/foot positions. What works for me probably doesn't work for you. You just need to test ride it.

Bumping the Fat Bob thread to give it some love and blatant post of my 2020 Performance Orange with the Memphis Shade flaring installed.
I have a 13" and 15" Vented version of the windscreen in the garage for test rides this weekend.

Default A Fatter Fat Bob?

Greetings All. I hope I've done the right thing posting this here. This is one of those love-it-or-hate-it mod posts (and from across the pond) so please go easy on me.

I don't own this bike yet but I LOVE its style, there's nothing out there like it. Now it may sound crazy but if I had the cash to splash after a purchase I would seriously consider getting the rear end modified to fit a wider wheel to rock something like a 240 tyre. I know the Fat Bob was designed for performance but I'd be willing to sacrifice some of that for what imho would be a much improved view from the rear:

From this (unmodified)...

...to this

The other thought behind this is that besides a front fairing or a custom paint job it seems the only other mod that could really set your Fat Bob apart is a new pair of wheels (not that I don't think the stock wheels generally look great). I'm also aware that this is about the priciest mod you can make, not to mention the challenge of meeting the stringent European regulations, but let me dream a little for the time being.

The thing is I'd actually want to keep the tall stock fender but it's hard to tell from the pics and youtube vids just how wide a tyre would fit under it, particularly with the shock bottomed out. Online specs say the rear shock travel is 4.4" which I guess would mean the look in the above pic is too optimistic. Would anybody be kind enough to give me a quick measurement of the max possible tyre width that would fit with the shock bottomed out?

Cheers from the UK

Stock fender will allow no more then a 200 rim, I own 4 Softails , 2 of them have a 260 tire, take a look at my sig below for some inspiration

I have a 200 on my Fat Bob.

Bummer! I'm surprised by that but then I've never checked out the bike up close enough. Much appreciated all the same. And what a collection you have there, topped off with an ATV no less - why not? Thanks man
