Thanks yeah that chart looks better and makes more sense. So best WOT shift point is most likely in this case in every gear just before rev limiter. 6,100 to 6,400 rpms whatever it is in practicality.

Yep, your bike starts and ends each gear at the same torque. The stock cam drops torque with rpm, so, shifting early is in order.

Slightly off-topic, but I've heard from a few sources that going past Stage II increases the likelyhood of sumping, so I've quit at Stage II. Anyone else know of this?

Harley's tech bulletin about sumping initially identified it as a problem affecting only Stage 3 and Stage IV builds.

In later revisions, they expanded it to include all versions of the M8 regardless of whether they were stock or at any Stage level.

Long high load situations often WOT with pre may 19 builds seem to be where the sumping occurred.

Yes, and there is a new oil pump to solve the problem. Plenty of info posted about it.
