Default Changing Bars on a 2019 FLFBS

I'm currently looking into the possibility of changing my bars.

From what I can ascertain...
The 2019 Fat Boy FLFBS is fitted with risers that have a 1" diameter clamp.
Fitted at the moment are a set of Wild 1 Chubby 16" Classic Ape Hanger bars which, again from what I have read, have a 1" diameter at the clamp.
^^^^please correct me if I'm wrong.

So, the question is:
What would I need if I were to change the bars to something with a 1 1/4" diameter clamp?
Do I need different risers which accommodate an 1 1/4" diameter bar?
Do I just need a different top clamp?

References:

I've also looked at these threads but they don't really provide the answer to what I'm looking for:
Ape Hangers Wrist Angle and 2018 Fat Boy Stock Handlebar Dimensions

Following. Unfortunately I do not have an answer. But I can tell you this. Check the specs closer on yours. We just upgraded my wife's 21 stock Heritage bars to 1.5" KST meathooks. The custom shop did all the work so we had no worries.

Bottom line on that, the center piece (her KST are 3-piece bars) was the same and the clamp/riser was re-usable.

Note: I would take it to a custom shop and not a Harley dealer. I had some bad experiences with my bar upgrades at two different HD dealers on my 19 Heritage - long story. They tend to not tighten them properly when they're done. Had mine literally move as I was taking her out on the first test ride after delivery.

Yeah I spotted those in the other thread - they do look cool.
However, I think that the 2021 Heritage has a 1 1/4" diameter handlebar clamp as standard.
...which begs the question - could I just buy the 2021 Heritage risers and clamp!?
^^^^I may well be wrong on this as the Parts Catalogue doesn't say they are different (for 2019-2021 models)

Yes you would need risers with a 1 1/4" clamping area. The top clamp and risers themselves have the same diameter. HD and others make spacer to have small diameters bars in larger diameter risers. I have 1 1/4" Trask bars mounted on my Fat Bob with 1 1/2" risers using the HD Bar spacer.

Ideally find the pars you like then find a matching riser to mount them.

Good luck!

You need the risers and the clamp. The Sport Glide, Heritage, and Fat Bob have 1.25 center bars from the factory. There seem to be some options from HD if you want chrome, not so much for black. You may have to go aftermarket to get what you want.

The STOCK FLFBS has 1.25inch Risers.
Were your risers changed?
Because the stock ones are 1.25inch clamping area. If you have them still all you need is to put them back on.
The Controls area is 1inch so it can use standard harley control clusters and throttles.
However the stock bar thickness is 1.25inch.

I put 1.25inch Curved Fat Risers on my bike last year and it was a direct swap with no cable extensions needed.
The only thing you need to do is unclamp the brakeline for these 4inch risers.
Anything taller than Stock and these curved fat pullback risers will need cable extensions, clutch electrical, and brake.

Thanks for all the replies and pics.

I suspect what has happened is that when the Chubby bars were fitted that the risers were changed at the same time to accommodate them (this was all done prior to my ownership)

Seen a few options for handlebars - looking at 14" ape hanger style.
In the meantime, I've ordered a new set of (aftermarket) 1.25" clamp risers.

Should be able to use the rubbers and bolts off my current risers.

Decision made on Handlebars...
After A LOT of research, measuring, hunting the net for pics plus tooing & froing, I finally decided on a set of handlebars.
I contacted Thunderbike in Germany asking about a particular set of bars (like the ones on Platinum Force) - customer support was excellent and I got a quick reply. Unfortunately, they're still in development for TUV approval and only available in Black (I want Chrome/Polished Stainless Steel).
I then contacted Customer Support at Wings Custom who were also excellent - very, very helpful with replies and example pictures.
So, in the end, I went for a set of Wings Custom 14" King Curve Rhino 2" bars.
