I have a. '05 Ultra with the following setup.
Sony MEX-1GP
PBR300x2
Arc KS 6026 (front)
Hogtune (rear)
HU driving rear the Punch driving front.
The PBR300X2 seems to be coming apart. Speakers cutout with bike running and fairing shake. Connections good between HU and amp and amp and speakers. I can reduce but NOT eliminate by holding the amp lessening the movement. Fairly certain the amp is shitting the bed. Many miles and drive/ride hard.
Whew...now to the questions. I'm mostly a busting down the road iPod via usb guy with lots of 2up in all weather.
What's everyone's take on the BT2180 4 spkr package vs BT4180 4 spkr package? Street price is a diff of $150. Does BT still offer HDF member discounts?
Unfortunately I'm heading out of town Fri and looking to move quick to get my tunes back.
The 4180 gives you the option to fade over the 2180, and you can use slightly different speakers front & back SPL wise. The 2180 would be parallel. Yes, BT offers discount, use hdforum.
Yes you can run 2 ohm and 4 ohm as long as they are on the same channel (front 2 ohm and rear 4 ohm) on the Soundstream pn4 1000d.
That seup will sound real good
Haze....I've been pouring over the installation threads and saw your pics. Also saw where someone used a small piece of wood to elevate. I too have modified my fairing support brackets due to breakage.
Are you letting the rear of the amp rest on the supports?
