Default Biketronics Speaker Connection Help!

Well, I had to remove the wires from my Biketronics amp tonight and then I went to plug them back in and I think there's trouble. I worked on the rears only on this 4-channel amp. I plugged in the left side no problem, they went right back in to those little holes.

The right however, will not lock in for either one of them. Does anybody know what is going on with these connections?

They seem a bit weak and I'm a little discouraged at this point....

Are you using the pins that came with the amp or just bare wire?

Pins? No bare wire -I called them the first time I was hooking it up and she walked me through how to install them. It seems like the spring busted off inside there because these things one clamp down at all now. Bummer I'm glad I don't have the tour pack on him is the real ones that are screwed up.

I'm assuming you've tried but lets just go basics on this.
Use a small screwdriver to press the little white tab in while you insert the wire into the black tab directly beneath it. When the wire is in, release the white tab and lightly pull to see if you've grabbed the wire.

If that's what you've been doing, give it another try...wind your wire tightly and make sure you've got 3/8" bare wire inserting into the black input while the white tab above is depressed. If it's not grabbing on ANY of them, it might be operator error. If one is stuck, it's "possible" you've got a bad connector and BT will fix it.

Get a bright flashlight and do a dry run on what is happening when u push on that white tab. Use a large paper clip with a 90 bend for leverage.
Point being, if u push too far u are actually closing the opening. Push it in 3/4 and the opening is at its wides point but if u jam it all the way in ur actually screwing urself as it starts to close again.

With a freshly stripped and twisted piece of BT speaker wire it should slip right in without touching the release. If it doesn't grab the wire and hold it take a flashlight press the release and look and see if there's anything stuck inside the slot that may be holding it open.

Yea, got out my flashlight magnifying glass and did that; spring in there must be busted. It is affecting both on the same side. Damn it!

Well then this is where the lifetime warrantee comes in handy. As close as you are to BT turnaround time should be quick.

Well, just had a very disappointing phone call with Biketronics- basically you can't use anything round to push on these damn pins! I have to rip this thing out now and pay to ship it back to them. This on top of the loose rca cables and the brackets that don't line up and creating a wrestling match getting the fairing on now....$@#%$@#%$@#%!!!
