Default Help adding horns

So I'm currently running Hertz MPK 163.3's powered by a Diamond micro 4v2 and decided to add a little more volume. Whats the best way to add in the ST-25's I just bought? Should I wire them in the same channel as the 163.3's or should be rewiring this whole setup? Any help would be awesome.

Can you clarify how the current speakers are wired to the 4v2? Are they on one channel stereo or are you currently bridging them?

Putting horns in parallel on those speakers will give you no volume or tuning control on those horns.

Currently I'm just running the component system on one channel.

Also would I gain anything by removing the crossover and tweeters and running just the mids and horns?

Given the current setup your best option is to run horns off the other channel of your amp since it's open. As far as tweeters plus horns, I highly doubt you'll ever hear another note from your tweets. They will get overplayed by the horns. Unless you love trebil....you'll have the snappiest cymbals on the block!

Can't say I reccomend adding horns to your current setup unless it's in the lids or bags with 8s or a non coaxial pro audio 6x9 like the DD 6x9.

If you wanna switch up your fairing components then we can talk horns in your fairing.

You need a better mid to pair with those horns to achieve a good match, also the mids will be a tad under powered with that amp. You should ditch the passive network and use the amps hp xover for the mid. Plan to upgrade the mids to something like the prv to accommodate those horns.

thanks man this is what I was looking for. I know it's not the ideal setup but it's what I have right now.

So you're gonna add horns to this?

Again, highly not advised with your current setup if you are going ahead with this, otherwise never mind.
