I'm wanting to upgrade the stereo. I would like to keep the head unit. I only want a two channel system. I'd like it to sound good on the road for me, not everyone around me. Here is what a buddy suggested.
This is the install kit. It has all the brackets, wiring with harnesses, etc. Everything is plug & play.
If you never plan to add rear speakers, I’d go with the 2-channel version. Once you head down this road, you’re going to want to add the rear speakers!
These are the speakers I put in my fairing. I’m not sure if a 6 ˝” will fit in your fairing, so you’ll need to do a little research to find the largest speaker that will fit. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_091165...KRC.html?tp=94
Is this a pretty good amp? And does it match those speakers?
Last time I was into car audio, I was dealing with 8-track and cassettes.
So the other system will not last or not sound right?
8 tracks and cassettes go way back to the 70's. I guess it has been a while!! Lol! That particular Rockford amp is a good amp and works well with the focal speakers.

You weren't kidding.
This setup surpassed all my expectations. The stereo sounded so good I didn't stop riding until I got back home. I went ahead and got the four channel, and the cables were run to the back in case I wanted to upgrade. I can crank the music to max without any distortion. Just awesome!
The only thing the guy told me is that these speakers do not hold up the moisture. They actually tried to sell me the Rockford marine grade speakers.
How do those Rockford speakers sound?
