What's the current recommendation for those of us who wanna stay with just 6x9 in bag lids for the rear? I've heard a few folks tell me that the Cadence XPro69CX is a KILLER 6x9 on the market that can take a TON of power thrown at it. Then theres the DB XMoto 6x9 or the DD VO6x9. Anyone here had any experience with the Cadence 6x9? Is there another 6x9 option out there I'm not mentioning that's the best option? I know it depends on what you're going for and I'm just looking for a "simple" 4 speaker setup on a Road King(bag lids and lowers). I may eventually throw a fairing on the front with either a set of 6.5's and horns or another set of 6x9's in it.

the cadence speakers dont produce enough low end to enjoy them as a 6x9 and really your bass speaker in that set up. All around Hertz 6x9 sound fantastic Im partial to pro audio set ups and DD VO 6x9

Ok, well if I were to go with a set of DD VO 6x9's in the lids, PRV 6mb250NDY's in lowers, with some DD Tweets(T2's) squeezed into the lowers somewhere...... and ran it all off a P4.1000D...... pretty solid system? I really wanna stay with Pro Audio stuff to be honest. Fooled with car stereo coaxial in the past, was not impressed AT ALL!

do the mod work it takes to make the 6MR500 NDY4's work in your lowers, you'll be glad that you did. what are you going to use as a source?

Was planning on using a simple JL Audio Bluetooth module and just using my phone connected via Bluetooth for now. I may end up throwing a fairing on the front with a headunit.... but I have to convince myself to do that to my Road King first. I kinda like the wind in my face.
Still need tweets or horns with the 6MR500's? I'll be honest though, the thought of taking a grinder to a speaker scares the hell outta me!

I had this set up on a softail and it rocked. Sounds like you are considering something similar.
I've read some positive stuff regarding the ARC 692s in the lids, but they may no longer be the flavor of the month and they do require some watts to make them rock.
